The simplest way of hosting your WordPress site/blog is to sign up with a web hosting service, as for the non-techies out there this is really easy and your hosting provider can help you out if you run into problems. Setting up your own server can be a big hastle and cause a lot of unnecessary frustration.

The simplest way of installing WordPress is via your cPanel and Fantastico De Luxe. cPanel is your web host/server controll panel and now days nearly every web host that has cPanel has the addon called “Fantastico De Luxe”. Through Fantastico you can install WordPress onto your web host/server in 3 simple easy to follow steps and takes less than 30 seconds.

If your web host/server does not have cPanel or Fantastico De Luxe, contact your web host/server admin and ask if they can install WordPress for you. If all of the above fail you can try to install manually. WordPress comes with very detailed documentation on manual installation, if you read and follow the instructions carefully you should not have a problem.
